Basketball player Othello Hunter, who spent two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, has given up the sport.

Ohio State was Othello Hunter's collegiate basketball team, and he was not selected in the 2008 NBA Draft.

Nevertheless, Hunter eventually signed a partial two-season contract with the Atlanta Hawks.

He appeared in four NBA playoff games and played in 23 regular season games, scoring 1.4 points and grabbing 1.6 rebounds each time.

Hunter has a long history of playing abroad in addition to his experience in the NBA.

Hunter recently made his basketball retirement official (h/t Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype).
